December, 5 2009 - The Nature of Strings
The Quad City Symphony Orchestra will be presenting a free performance for families by the Quad City String Quartet featuring QCSO Concertmaster Alan Ohmes, Associate Concertmaster Dawn Marino-Ohmes, Principal Viola Deborah Dakin, and Principal Cello Hannah Holman. The concert will be held at the Adler Theatre on December 5, 2009, starting at 1:30 PM.
The afternoon will be hosted by Music Director and Conductor Mark Russell Smith and include educational activities and hands-on experiences led by QCSO violinist and music educator Charles Abplanalp and visiting cellist Nick Donatelle.
This afternoon of family fun and exploration is sponsored by Quad City Arts and the National Trust Community Investment Corporation, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
