Quad City Symphony Orchestra announces audition dates for the 2010 Holiday Pops Children's Chorus. Membership in the Children's Chorus is open to boys and girls, ages 8 to 13, with unchanged voices.
Auditions will be held on the following dates at Moline High School, 3600 Avenue of the Cities:
Saturday, September 18: 8 AM to 12 noon & 1 to 3 PM
Monday, September 20: 4 to 7:30 PM
Children auditioning are asked to prepare and sing a short composition, approximately 1-2 minutes in length. Music may be selected from children's songs, nursery rhymes, church or hymn tunes, or similarly appropriate music. An accompanist will be provided.
Directed by Mary Tallitsch, the Children's Chorus will perform with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra as part of the 2010 Holiday Pops concert on Saturday, November 20, 7:30 PM at the i wireless Center. The Holiday Pops concert is an annual family event presented by the Quad City Symphony Orchestra and Quad City Arts Festival of Trees, with sponsorship support provided by John Deere.
