Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers - it's time for the 27th annual Riverfront Pops! The Quad City Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Mark Russell Smith perform some of the most recognizable standards of all time this September 12, when the Riverfront Pops returns to LeClaire Park. This year's concert will feature Steve Lippia performing "Simply Sinatra." Steve Lippia is one of the most prominent, in-demand vocalists and has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of "standards" and traditional pop music in the nation. Steve's youthful, energetic talent and powerful show create a perfect blend of "classic" with "today." His show introduces a new generation to this timeless music, while appealing to long-time listeners.
Also new to the Riverfront Pops this year are "Umbrella Suites" located along the north side of the park. These 15'x20' "suites" sell for $320 and include a 9' umbrella, 10 tickets, 1 parking spot in the Ripley Street Grille parking lot, and a menu from Ripley Street Grille. Additional tickets may be purchased at the group rate of $17 per person. Umbrella Suites may be purchased at the QCSO office, 327 Brady Street, Davenport.
The gates open at 3:00 PM for seating on the field and in the stands, with the concert beginning at 6:30. Shuttles will run from Central High School South Lot (11th St and Harrison St), Palmer College (8th St and Harrison St) and the Scott County Courthouse from 3 PM until concert time.
All tickets at the gate are $20. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Senior tickets can be purchased in advance at the QCSO office, all area Whitey's locations and through Ticketmaster. Groups of 10 or more may purchase $17 tickets at the QCSO office.
The Riverfront Pops is sponsored by SSAB Enterprises, Wells Fargo,
McLaughlin Motors and Zimmerman Cars.
